Notes

  1. The main page is the 'eBook' . In there, you can read  the online textbook, watch the video lectures and work out some problems.
  2. To do the online homework, select the 'Do Homework' tab. When you are done, make sure to click on Back to Exercise List and click on Hand in Homework. You may submit the homework as many times as you want.  You can keep working the homework until you obtain a perfect score. Every time you submit the homework, it will save your previous work, and your homework grade will be updated in your Gradebook. I suggest you to submit the homework several times as you work the problems. Do not wait to finish a homework to submit it. In that way you will not forget, and in case of a power outage or computer freezes, you will not lose your work. Online homework may consist of more than one section. You need to login to find out the sections covered in each homework.
  3. To do the online Quizzes, select the 'Take a Quiz' tab. Click on the quiz number, and then Click in the 'I am ready to start' button. When you are done, click the Submit button. If you do not submit the quiz, you might lose your work, and the computer will count the quiz as taken.
  4. If you open a problem and a small square appears in a top left corner with a square, a circle and a triangle inside, or the problem does not appear, it means that you do not have the plug-ins installed, or that your plug-ins are corrupted. In that case, you need to install the plug-ins again.
  5. It is the student's responsibility to check their Gradebook  to ensure that the homework was submitted successfully.
  6. You can use MML from any computer. If you plan to use computers other than the ones in the  Mathematics Lab at the East Campus, you must  download and install plug-ins. The computers at the Computer Labs in other Valencia campuses may not have the appropriate plug-ins installed.
  7. Read through the section in your textbook and work along with the textbook examples.
  8. Remember to do the textbook homework first, and then the online homework. In that way, you will not waste your time.
