In order to determine an applicant’s proficiency in written communication and ensure the appropriateness of teaching assignments a directed writing sample is required.

In recent years college-wide research efforts, discussions and planning initiatives have been directed at making Valencia a more "learning-centered" institution. As a contribution to this ongoing dialogue please describe below your concept of a learning-centered college.
