Teaching in the Learning College is an online course designed for adjunct instructors, new instructors, and instructors with strong content and /or technical expertise but limited teaching experience. This curriculum provides faculty with tools and resources enabling them to become more effective learning centered instructors. This course is required for the Associate Faculty Certificate. Adjunct faculty who successfully complete the course will be credited 30 hours toward the Associate Faculty Certificate. In Atlas, look for Professional Development course LCTS1111.

Succeeding in Online Group Work
This online course focuses on designing and facilitating group projects in the online environment. By getting involved with the storyline and characters, reading the resources, and the interaction with your colleagues, participants will learn the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to plan and implement group activities. This course is designed for any faculty members interested in using group work with students. The focus is using student groups in an online environment, but the insights will translate to the traditional classroom as well. Adjunct faculty who successfully complete the course will be credited 20 hours toward the Associate Faculty Certificate. In Atlas, look for Professional Development course LCTS1112.

This course is intended to foster a more positive attitude about evidence and the collection and use of data as well as a willingness to be involved in constructive dialogues about data.
