Ferrari Formula 1Racing Team
When it comes to formula 1 racing there is no other team that is as well known than Ferrari. It's one of the most well known cars anywhere in the world. You can go to almost any country and say the name Ferrari and people will know you are talking about a car. For many years it has been associated with speed, class, and extravagance. Those are the 3 top things I look for in a racing team. They have been involved in formula 1 since 1948. The S/F under the horse is Scuderia/Ferrari. They do compete in other racing levels but I think formula 1 is the best. Nothing against NASCAR or people who like it. There are some big differences unlike NASCAR racing they are changing directions (it seems a bit more difficult than driving in a circle) and there is a lot more danger in crashing, the bottom of the drivers seat is inches away from the ground and less car around them to keep them protected. Not to mention at times they travel at a higher speeds. In the US almost everybody knows about the Daytona 500, but in the world almost everybody knows about the Monaco GP. It's almost like comparing the popularity of the World Cup and the MLS championship tournament. I think the cars look nicer in formula 1. An even better term would be "sweet or tight." They are also the only team with a red car and red is my favorite color.
It takes a lot of skill to be a race car driver especially in formula 1. One of the best drivers of our time is Michael Schumacher. (Schuey as he is known in some circles). He is a 6 time formula 1 championship driver (the last win was in '04). Most of them with the number one team (Ferrari). The reason I bring this up is because I wanted to show that he doesn't have to be with the number team to win. It goes to show someone can win the driver's championship without winning the racing team winning the constructor's championship. That is usually not the case though. He is their main driver. He is working on another one this year. He is in second place right now.
The bottom Line is the formula 1 Ferrari racing team has, is, and will continue to be a big name in racing for many years to come.
